"The Cookie Thief" A woman was waiting at an airport one night, With several long hours before her flight, She hunted for a book in the airport shop, Bought a bag of cookies and found a place to drop. She was engrossed in her book, but happened to see, That the man beside her, as bold as could be, Grabbed a cookie or two from the bag between, Which she tried to ignore, to avoid a scene. She read, munched cookies, and watched the clock, As the gutsy "cookie thief" diminished her stock. She was getting more irritated as the minutes ticked by, Thinking, "If I wasn't so nice, I'd blacken his eye!" With each cookie she took, he took one too. When only one was left, she wondered what he'd do. With a smile on his face and a nervous laugh, He took the last cookie and broke it in half. He offered her half, as he ate the other. She snatched it from him and thought, "Oh brother, This guy has some nerve, and he's also rude, Why, he didn't even show any gratitude!" She had never known when she had been so galled, And sighed with relief when her flight was called. She gathered her belongings and headed for the gate, Refusing to look back at the "thieving ingrate." She boarded the plane and sank in her seat, Then sought her book, which was almost complete. As she reached in her baggage, she gasped with surprise. There was her bag of cookies in front of her eyes! "If mine are here," she moaned with despair, "Then the others were his and he tried to share!" Too late to apologize, she realized with grief, That she was the rude one, the ingrate, the thief!

A little impatience will spoil great plans.
Even a hare will bite when it is cornered. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without one. A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song. An inch of time is an inch of gold but you can't buy that inch of time with an inch of gold.

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, "What is Politics?" Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I am the head of the family, so call me the President. Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we'll call her The Government. We are here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you The People. The nanny, we'll consider her The Working Class, and your baby brother, we'll call him The Future." So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now." The father says, "Great son! Tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about." The little boy replies, "The President is screwing The Working Class while The Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and The Future is in deep mess.

A dog bit the leg of a man with such violence that venom dropped from its teeth, and the poor man could not sleep all night through pain.
His little daughter chided him, saying, “Why didn’t you bite him back?” The unfortunate parent wept and then smilingly replied, “Dear child! Although I was stronger than the dog, I restrained my anger. Should I receive a sword-blow on the head, I could not apply my teeth to the legs of a dog.” One can revenge oneself upon the mean, but a man cannot act like a dog.

A 10-12 years old boy walks into a brothel and says to the person behind the counter “get me a lady with gonorrhoea!”. Receptionist asks him with astonishment, “Do you know gonorrhoea is a very bad disease. “I don’t care” the boy responds. If I get gonorrhoea, I will sleep with our maid, then she gets gonorrhoea, she sleeps with my dad then he gets gonorrhoea, my dad then sleeps with my mum and she gets gonorrhoea. My mum will then sleep with the milk man, he will get gonorrhoea and that’s the bastard I am after for revenge.

Love and Marriage
The Pupil asked his teacher, what is love? The teacher replied, go to a field of wheat and bring me the best cluster you find. Remember when passing through the field, you can not come back and pick up the ones you already passed. The student went to the field and after quite a while returned. The teacher said what did you get? The student said with regret, nothing! I walked further and further in the field, I saw better clusters, and in the hope of finding the best, I went to the end of the field The teacher said: This is love! The pupil asked, what is marriage then? The teacher asked him, now go to the forest and bring the tallest tree. Remember you can not come back and pick up the ones you already passed. The student went and soon came back with a tree. The teacher asked the student what happened. He replied; I went to the forest, and I chose the first tall tree I saw. I feared if I go further, I may have to return empty-handed again. The teacher said: This is marriage! |

"Where is the friend's house?," the rider asked in the twilight.
Heaven paused; The passerby bestowed the flood of light on his lips to darkness of sands And pointed to a poplar and said: "Near the tree, Is a garden-line greener than God's dream Where love is bluer than the feathers of honesty. Walk to the end of the lane which emerges from behind puberty, Then turn towards the flower of solitude; Two steps to the flower, Stay by the eternal mythological fountain of earth where a transparent fear will visit you. In the flowing intimacy of the space you will hear a rustling sound: You will see a child Who has ascended a tall plane tree to pick up chicks from the nest of light. Ask him: Where is the friend's house? From Sepehri |

Hello Hesarooyeh,I noticed you have been very busy adding some more lines and extra pics in this place. i think you are doing a fantastic job dear, I should mention that I visited that region years ago, along with some friends we revisited the ancient silk road and since then i am in love with that part of the world. although we didnt pass through Iran, but I know Iran has a very ancient history and unique culture that one can not see in any other part of the world. all the best, good luck with your project.
